PROMOTING WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

This thread arises from an email exchange between John Sedwick and Deb Verhoeven which began when Deb asked for more info about her funding presentation at the HOMER meeting. John clarified by suggesting:

> Sorry Deb, I suppose that it should be research funding. However, we are

Deb replied:

> So something like – identifying/developing our unique Points of

So the upshot of this exchange is that this part of the blog will be devoted to exploring what it is that brings together (unifies might be too strong a word) the membership of ICARG and/or HOMER specifically in relation to our research practices and interests. It’s not really about joint research projects, nor is it really about membership and communication although obviously these two parts of the blog are very relevant to any discussion that follows.

I think the best thing at this point is if we have a free for all in terms of suggestions, ideas, thoughts, ramblings or protests and then I’ll try and pull the discussion together for the meeting.
